THE OLD METHOD OF
LEADER TRAINING.....
1) WELCOME TO
SCOUTING...
Initial Training is
delivered locally by your ADC Adult Training and members of the District Team. The session
will provide practical information and support to enable you to get started with your new
adult role in Scouting. Your ADC (Assistant District Commissioner) will help you choose a
PTA (Personal Training Advisor) to help with your training.
2) INTRODUCTORY
TRAINING...
A weekend multi-sectional course designed to provide you with some basic information and
ideas to assist you with running a successful Colony, Pack, Troop or Unit. Topics include:
Scouting Fundamentals
Decision Making
Adults in Scouting
Programme Planning
Prayer & Worship
The Training Scheme

3) LEADERSHIP ONE
TRAINING...
A practical course over two weekends, using eight training modules, (ABCD) - (EFGH) and
building on previous training experiences. Topics include

TRAINING...

AWARD OF THE WOOD
BADGE
Following completion of Leadership Training
Two, final projects and a period of not less than three months "in service"
training, the District Commissioner may recommend the Award of the "WOOD BADGE" |
